The Mughals gave various delicious dishes to India. One such Mughlai cuisine is the Sheermal. Sheermal is basically a traditional flatbread. The specialty about sheermal is its saffron taste. The flavor is extremely savouring and authentic. Sheermal is a sort of naan with a little sweet taste. The ingredients include maida and yeast that makes it soft and puffy. Often cooked in a tandoor or a oven. The lukewarm water is replaced with milk and little bit of sugar is added for the sweetness. To enhance the flavors saffron and cardamom is also added. The original form of sheermal was roti but the recipe modified and now the dish is made like naan.
